IVC – PUGLIA competences
In order to have the competences recognized for employment in regulated professions, it is generally necessary to have a certification that can only be obtained following courses recognised/authorised/financed by the regional public system.
Thanks to the IVC services (Identification, assessment and certification of competences), it is also possible to see recognized the competences acquired in non-formal and informal learning contexts such as training experience, work activity, volunteering, social life and private life.
The CPIA Lecce is one of the entities entitled in the experimentation of the operational model of the service of Identification and validation of the skills acquired in non-formal and informal learning contexts (IVC), launched by the Puglia Region in the social welfare sector.
With D.G.R. 632/2019, the Puglia Region has formally launched the experimentation in favor of personnel employed in public or private, hospital and social-health and social-welfare structures operating in the Puglia Region, with work experience of at least 5 years gained in the field of services social assistance.
Through the process of recognition of non-formal and informal competences, operators in the social welfare sector have been able to:
- a) make competences transparent and validate through the IVC service;
- b) certify the validated skills, obtaining the qualification of family assistant after passing an exam;
- c) access the training course for Social Health Operator, obtaining a reduction in the duration of the standard training course by virtue of the possession of the qualification of family assistant;
- d) certify the competences acquired in the training course, obtaining the qualification of social health operator after passing an exam.
The call for the qualification of the Family Assistant figure was the first experimentation, in Puglia, of the operational model of the Skills Identification and Validation service, in implementation of the national rules on the certification of skills. It was published in BURP n. 44 of 24-4-2019 (Decision of the Manager of the Professional Training Section 394/2019).
